Rhode Island Parent Information Network (RIPIN) is a peer-led organization that provides support and resources to individuals with special healthcare and education needs. Founded in 1991, RIPIN continues to be a leader in the field, providing services to over 45,000 Rhode Islanders annually.

Job Summary

The Social Worker provides expertise and support to Community Health Workers, ensuring that services are relevant, effective, and coordinated. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of the mission, vision, and values of RIPIN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized support to clients and Community Health Workers
  • Cultivate and map resources in Rhode Island to support low-income older adults and disabled adults
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of case records
  • Collaborate with program leadership to identify training needs and present related workshops
  • Actively participate in agency meetings and team meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Social Work or relevant educational experience
  • Experience navigating systems of care in RI supporting low-income older adults or disabled adults
  • Experience in behavioral health settings desired
  • Personal experience navigating social, healthcare, and/or education systems and services for self or family member highly desired
Working Conditions
  • Primary work location is a climate-controlled indoor office environment
  • Flexibility for travel related to job requirements
  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
