Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor oversees shifts and/or designated areas in the operation of a Papa John's restaurant, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and exceptional customer service to drive restaurant profitability. Additional responsibilities include managing operations by executing all company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as ethical business practices, is essential.

EXPERIENCE IN PIZZA OPERATIONS IS REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to established guidelines, techniques, and expectations for each station, including but not limited to dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning. Performs assigned duties at workstations, such as producing quality products, following all preparation procedures, and maintaining established product holding times. Consistently contributes to achieving the company's product goals. Commits to meeting customer needs and expectations, minimizing complaints, and responding appropriately to customer inquiries. Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook, including but not limited to image standards, attendance, safety, and security.
  • Exemplifies and demonstrates the Core Values, maintains a positive demeanor, collaborates effectively with others, and is flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ensures sufficient shift coverage for the restaurant. Provides immediate feedback and addresses issues as they arise. Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities (such as MCE readiness, food/labor costs, restaurant cleanliness, etc.) within acceptable standards, adhering to all policies and procedures related to shift management.
  • Contributes to profit objectives by ensuring compliance with company guidelines and target goals through accurate utilization of the FOCUS System. Executes cash management responsibilities. Assists in managing appropriate inventory levels using company systems and guidelines to minimize losses.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant shift leadership role preferred.

Skills: Cash management; planning and organization; effective communication.
