Position: Data Scientist
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 Months with potential for hire
Key Responsibilities
• Address business challenges through sophisticated statistical methodologies, including regression analysis, decision trees, and machine learning techniques such as neural networks and clustering.
• Formulate experimental and analytical strategies for data modeling, ensuring robust baselines and accurately assessing causal relationships.
• Develop and implement data pipelines, analytical frameworks, and decision support systems.
• Innovatively seek out predictive analytics opportunities to enhance business outcomes and generate value.
• Leverage Generative AI to augment analytical capabilities and improve data modeling processes.
• Establish and assess critical metrics, gaining insights into their drivers and implications.
• Take charge of designing, developing, and sustaining dashboards and visual representations of data.
• Strategize to ensure analyses are reproducible and easily accessible.
• Actively pursue knowledge in emerging technologies, methodologies, and analytical techniques.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, translating findings into clear narratives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong grasp of analytical techniques and statistical principles.
• Proficient in writing clean, efficient code, particularly in Python or R.
• Experience in crafting and optimizing SQL queries.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive exploratory data analysis.
• Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, showcasing strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Initiative in problem-solving and completing assignments within reasonable timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A positive, proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Familiarity with Warranty Analytics and/or Diesel Engine systems is a plus.
• Experience in model development using frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Transformers.
• Programming skills in Python, C#, or Java.
• Knowledge of non-relational database systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
