Position Overview
The Systems Engineering Division (SED) boasts extensive expertise in systems engineering, serving the U.S. government and a variety of public and private entities, universities, and nonprofit organizations involved in the advanced application of space technology. Our work spans systems architecture development, system analysis, astrodynamics, and mission assurance, among other critical areas.
Work Environment
This role is exclusively on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead initiatives to assess and forecast threat systems utilizing validated intelligence and engineering methodologies. Mentor early-career professionals to enhance team capabilities.
- Oversee the technical advancement of the Advanced Sensor Performance Evaluation & Concept Toolkit (ASPECT) and associated radar modeling efforts.
- Facilitate the integration of Aerospace tools with government clients, translating their challenges into actionable tasks supported by Aerospace's extensive capabilities.
- Enhance SPEAD's expertise in modern algorithm design and innovative problem-solving techniques.
Qualifications
For Project Leader Role:
- Master's degree in engineering, science, or a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
- 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven project management and leadership skills.
- Experience in systems engineering analysis related to radar and space surveillance systems.
- Background in statistics, estimation, controls, or signal processing with a focus on radar tracking algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as FORTRAN, C++, Matlab, Python, Java, or C.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with high-level stakeholders.
- Current TS/SCI security clearance required.
For Senior Project Leader Role:
- 12 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
It would be advantageous to possess:
- Ph.D. in engineering, science, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Academic experience in systems engineering and simulation.
- Experience with radar design and technology integration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Engineering and Technology Group's capabilities.
