- Promote patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions and self-care practices.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to all relevant procedures and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by participating in quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by recognizing age-specific needs during assessments and education.
- Provide necessary information to patients and families regarding procedures.
- Initiate and manage the discharge process in accordance with physician orders.
- Administer blood transfusions following established protocols.
- Assist healthcare professionals during procedures while adhering to licensing regulations.
- Develop and implement educational processes tailored to patient and family needs in the recovery phase.
- Ensure continuity of care by reviewing postoperative orders and coordinating with receiving units.
- Stay updated on new procedures and treatments relevant to postoperative care.
Applicants must possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Preferred: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and one year of critical care or PACU experience.
Required certifications include:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, to be completed within one year of hire.
Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
