About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Dennis Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction activities, including coordination of sub-contractors, site safety programs, project schedule, and project budget.

Our projects involve designing and building food and beverage process facilities (Industrial / MEP projects), requiring strong technical skills and the ability to interact with multiple engineering groups and designers/architects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management principles and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily construction activities, including coordination of subcontractors and site safety programs
  • Work with project management to develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Establish and maintain site safety procedures with our safety team
  • Oversee process, mechanical, and utility equipment installations
  • Coordinate permitting, code, and regulatory approvals
  • Manage change orders and general construction administration
  • Coordinate field engineering and inspection activities
  • Support facility start-up and manage third-party testing and inspection
About You
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible job site experience working on industrial building projects
  • 8+ years of design-build experience (strongly preferred)
  • 8+ years of overseeing subcontractors and driving project schedules
  • Fundamental understanding of all phases of construction and ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets
  • 8+ years of client interaction experience - strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred)
