Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for:
- Creating, executing, and maintaining automated test cases and scenarios for high-performance web applications.
- Establishing a test automation framework for web services, APIs, and web applications.
- Ensuring continuous automation execution, analyzing results, documenting findings, and promptly reporting failures.
- Conducting performance and load testing across various applications to evaluate scalability and stability.
- Designing test cases and plans based on defined acceptance criteria.
- Collaborating with scrum team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to align project plans, testing schedules, and reporting metrics.
- Understanding application architecture and infrastructure to assess risks associated with integration points before developing effective test cases.
- Providing comprehensive testing coverage, including manual testing when automation is not feasible.
- Exhibiting strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to deliver detailed root cause analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex projects involving cloud technologies, distributed systems, REST Services, Web Services/Microservices, and data processing.
- More than 5 years of experience with some of the following:
- Developing test automation using C#/.NET.
- Hands-on experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools like RestAssured, RestSharp, SoapUI, WireMock, or Parasoft SOAtest.
- Experience with databases, preferably NoSQL, such as MongoDB or Aerospike.
- Strong background in crafting detailed test plans for functional, regression, acceptance, and stress testing.
- Designing and implementing modular and reusable automated test scripts utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns like Page Object Models (POM) and Data-Driven Testing.
- Executing functional, regression, and performance tests.
- Occasional execution of manual testing (both black box and white box).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to interact effectively with business partners and technology teams.
- Experience with Agile Development Practices and Scrum methodologies.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and architectures while staying updated on emerging technologies.
- Creative problem-solving skills to devise solutions when tools are inadequate.
- Experience collaborating with teams across different geographical locations and managing offshore vendors.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile is essential.
