We are currently seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Representative to uphold our dedication to safety and exceptional customer service.

The primary responsibility of the Retail Sales Representative is to enhance sales and foster brand recognition. A successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of our deli products.

The responsibilities of a Retail Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:
  • Safely operating deli equipment
  • Setting up deli displays and ensuring proper product rotation
  • Interpreting and executing merchandising plans
  • Maintaining promotional displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS) materials
  • Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Effectively managing time and productivity
  • Completing necessary reports, including store assessments
  • Providing consistent coverage to all assigned locations based on priority
  • Conducting regular store visits to document and address any issues
  • Building and nurturing customer relationships through exemplary service
  • Possessing the knowledge to create and promote Dietz & Watson initiatives
  • Training new deli staff on the benefits of Dietz & Watson products
  • Communicating essential information to the Merchandiser Manager
  • Utilizing sales reports to achieve full product distribution
  • Identifying opportunities for sales growth with the Merchandiser Manager
  • Maintaining well-stocked displays
  • Ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Participating in special projects outside of the designated territory
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and creative skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions regularly
  • Availability to work weekends occasionally
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales preferred; deli experience is a plus
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass the company-issued ServSafe Manager exam
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Walking and reaching
  • Use of both hands and arms
  • Operating a motor vehicle
  • Working in a safety-sensitive position
Work Environment
  • Room temperature while in stores
  • Occasional exposure to refrigerated areas
