About the RoleThis role is an exciting opportunity to work as an Underwriter/Broker, assisting in the servicing and operational management of accounts. You will be responsible for underwriting, servicing, and handling assigned accounts, with a focus on production and service goals. You will work closely with the Underwriter/Broker Senior to ensure seamless account management.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty risks.
- Settle whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features.
- Have frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
- Meet production and service goals assigned by the Underwriter/Broker Senior.
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
