Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Services
    • Greet patients and visitors upon arrival
    • Answer telephone lines promptly
    • Enter registration and insurance information into computer
    • Secure necessary signatures on patient medical records
    • Coordinate patient care provided by healthcare team
    • Perform various secretarial duties
    • Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary information
    • Collect patient payments
    • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed
  • Fulfill Administrative Duties
    • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment of care
    • Be familiar with and abide by OSHA Standards and Hazardous Materials protocols
    • Translate in Spanish between non-Spanish speaking staff and Spanish speaking patients as requested
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and protocols
  • Ability to read and comprehend short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to document patient information with clarity
  • Ability to work cooperatively with community agency personnel
  • Ability to use office equipment including computers, fax machines, telephones, and copiers
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of practice experience in a clinic office setting
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Computer Experience
