Pediatric Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Texarkana Therapy Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess the physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs of children from birth to adolescence.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address developmental delays, motor skills, sensory integration, and other challenges.
- Deliver age-appropriate therapeutic interventions using play-based techniques, sensory activities, and exercises to improve fine and gross motor skills, daily living activities, and social participation.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to meet the child's developmental goals.
- Provide guidance, resources, and training to parents and caregivers on techniques to support therapy goals at home.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other healthcare providers, to ensure coordinated care for each child.
- Promote sensory integration and regulation through structured activities aimed at improving a child's ability to process and respond to sensory information.
- Support school readiness by working on fine motor skills, self-care tasks, and social skills necessary for classroom participation.
- Adapt and recommend assistive devices to enhance a child's independence and participation in daily activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and relevant regulations.
