Job Summary

The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies in the workplace, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide health and safety training to staff members to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities and the procedures in place.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure that all necessary records are maintained.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures, including mine rescues, firefighting, and first aid.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Health and Safety Administrator or in a similar role, with a proven track record in managing health and safety programs.
  • Excellent organizational, motivational, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
