Position Purpose
The Billing Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Financial Controller, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of our organization by overseeing the operational facets of our billing services. Collaborating closely with our clinical and administrative teams, the Billing Operations Supervisor will devise strategies to enhance billing operations. This role requires a strategic mindset coupled with a hands-on approach to improve current functions, support employee development, and contribute positively to our company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the workflow and schedules of billing personnel, including reconciliation specialists, denial specialists, billing processors, and eligibility specialists.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance assessments.
  • Handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy, with guidance from the Financial Controller.
  • Provide direction to ensure seamless operations across departments, particularly in billing functions.
  • Supervise daily billing activities, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with regulations, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead the billing team, promoting effective communication, performance, and professional development.
  • Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team and Financial Controller to develop and execute organizational programs, processes, goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field - Required
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations and Management - Required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, including roles of increasing responsibility and leadership
  • Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry, including knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in guiding and motivating cross-functional teams, enhancing performance, and fostering a collaborative and diverse work environment - Required
  • Flexible Hybrid Model: 3x/week onsite in-office, with potential for hybrid working; Travel Maximum of up to 50% of the time - Required
  • Experience with billing software (e.g., CentralReach ABA Software) - A plus
  • Technical Skills: Process development, SOP development, data analysis, Microsoft Office 365, billing software, data collection software - Required
