We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Health Psychologist to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease Institute and Neurological Institute. As a key member of our Gastrointestinal Behavioral Medicine Medical Home team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive evaluations and individual and group-based interventions for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders
- Provide individual and group-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and biofeedback
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Supervise trainees in health psychology and contribute to the development of educational programs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A doctoral degree in psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program
- Completion of an internship with experience in health psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization
- Eligibility for licensure in Ohio
- Strong expertise in evidence-based treatments for health-related depression, anxiety, and pain
- Experience working with patients diagnosed with chronic medical conditions
