About the Role:
The Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease Institute and Neurological Institute are seeking a highly skilled health psychologist to join our team as a Clinical Health Psychologist: GI Behavioral Medicine Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a world-class academic medical center and contribute to the development of a new model of care: Gastrointestinal Behavioral Medicine Medical Home.
About the Department:
The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is a national leader in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Our GI Medical Home model of care provides an integrated patient-centered population health approach to management and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including gastroenterologists, Nurse Practitioners, nurse coordinators, a psychologist, and a dietitian.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and individual and group-based interventions for patients with a diagnosed disorder of the gastrointestinal system.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatments for health-related depression, anxiety, and pain.
- Supervise trainees in health psychology and contribute to the development of educational programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program.
- Completion of an internship with experience in health psychology.
- Postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in health psychology.
- Eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
