Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect all environmental surfaces, including furniture, beds, bathroom fixtures, and windows, following universal precautions.
  • Dry and wet mop rooms, hallways, stairs, bathrooms, and offices, and spot clean and vacuum carpets.
  • Gather and dispose of refuse and soiled linen, following universal precautions, and fill supply dispensers.
  • Contact nursing personnel for patient discharges and transfers, and report available patient rooms and maintenance requests via computer system.
  • Respond to routine requests via pager and remove, wash, and rehang cubicle curtains, shower curtains, and window treatments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least six months of experience in hospitality or medical housekeeping.
