The Brewer-Garrett Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and well-maintained conditions.
- Inspect buildings and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures, open clogged lines and drains, and replace water faucets.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks, including repairing drywall, painting walls, and fixing doors and windows.
- Document all building and life safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to emergencies after hours, if necessary.
- Complete work orders and requests promptly using company-provided tools and equipment.
- Follow all policies and procedures established in company manuals and client contract documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school graduate or military school or apprentice program preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or construction field.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships and strong organizational skills.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasional lifting or moving of office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
