Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at Christus Health. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency medical services (EMS) calls, hospitals, and clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency medical situations, including accidents, injuries, and medical emergencies.
  • Assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate medical care, including administering medications and performing procedures.
  • Operate an ambulance and related medical equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and stretchers.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Current EMT certification, with a valid license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position, with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week.
