Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Christus Health. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency medical situations and non-emergency calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency medical situations and provide care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating response activities with physicians to develop a plan of care for patients.
  • Lead a team of responders in conducting triage, developing treatment plans, and administering medical care to patients.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all emergency medical equipment and vehicles through regular checks and maintenance.
  • Interact with firefighters, law enforcement, and other non-medical personnel at emergency scenes.
  • Perform related administrative tasks and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Handle hazardous materials and ensure proper disposal in accordance with regulations.
  • Respond to multiple casualty incidents and disasters, providing medical oversight, triage, care, and transport as needed.
  • Participate in periodic in-service training and updates to maintain certification and stay current with Emergency Medical Services requirements.
