Job Summary

The University of New Orleans is seeking a highly skilled System Support Analyst 2 to join our team. As a key member of our Medicaid Project Management Operations department, you will be responsible for leading the detection and documentation of software failures, anomalies, and issues to identify and correct defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the detection and documentation of software failures, anomalies, and issues to identify and correct defects.
  • Track identified issues and verify resolution.
  • Lead work to resolve provider portal authorization tasks.
  • Submit Ivanti incident/Service Request tickets for issues discovered.
  • Track identified issues through the ticketing process and verify resolution.
  • Log JIRA items to be reviewed, researched, and monitored.
  • Monitor for post-implementation issues.
  • Assist leadership with identifying needs for unit training. Organize and develop training content and may conduct training for the unit.
  • Ensure that service disruptions are reported immediately.
  • Lead unit and project-related meetings as needed.
  • Conduct research relating to the development of modernization systems.
  • Report project risks and issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Complete project status reports, as assigned.
  • Communicate relevant information to project team as needed; coordinate document distribution to all team members.
  • Prepare, interpret, and clarify eligibility policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the project.
  • Handle system errors generated by LaMEDS.
  • Assist with post-production monitoring reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or six years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience working in an office environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills; effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to set, follow, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree.
  • Two years of professional experience in the healthcare field, Medicaid eligibility, or Medicaid program support.
  • Two years of professional experience in the support of the LaMEDS implementation.
  • Two years of professional experience in a help desk environment troubleshooting technical and non-technical issues.
  • Two years of experience presenting information to technical and non-technical audiences.
