Baseball Coach/Groundskeeper

As an Assistant Baseball Coach and Groundskeeper at Salt Lake Community College, you will play a critical role in supporting the head baseball coach in all aspects of a comprehensive, highly competitive college men's baseball program. Your responsibilities will include assisting with scheduling, scouting, travel arrangements, and monitoring student-athletes, as well as maintaining the grounds and facilities on and around the SLCC Baseball Diamond (Cate Field) to the highest standards.

• Assist the head coach in practice organization, scheduling, scouting, team supervision, on-field coaching, and travel arrangements.
• Be responsible for player development and individual work sessions during practice.
• Assist in recruiting new student-athletes within the philosophies and guidelines of NJCAA, SLCC, and the Athletic Department.
• Coordinate and assist in developing and administering successful baseball camps at SLCC.
• Represent SLCC in a professional, ethical manner at all times and administer and comply with the policies and procedures of Region 18, NJCAA, SLCC, and the Athletic Department.
• Purchase, store, issue, and maintain equipment and supplies for the baseball program, and coordinate and facilitate game and practice equipment and grounds needs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of baseball coaching experience in a High School or College setting.
• Certified professional-level experience considered.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-4 years of baseball coaching experience in a college setting preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in baseball field maintenance and groundskeeping preferred.
