About the Role

As a Cashier and Front End Associate at Walmart, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves the store with a smile on their face.

You will be the first point of contact for many customers, and your attitude and demeanor will set the tone for their shopping experience. You will be responsible for scanning items, explaining prices, bagging items properly, and counting cash back, all while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

This is a fast-paced role that requires multitasking and attention to detail. You will need to be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, while also providing excellent customer service.

We offer competitive pay, performance-based incentive awards, and a range of benefits, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, as well as 401(k) and stock purchase plans. You will also receive paid time off, including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives, and premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer
  • Scan items, explain prices, and bag items properly
  • Count cash back and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
  • Be available to assist associates across the store as needed
Cart and Janitorial
  • Ensure customers have a great first and last impression
  • Gather carts from the parking lot
  • Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
  • Clean restrooms, salesfloor, and parking lot as needed
  • Have a positive attitude in all weather conditions
