Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Distribution Driver to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to clients across the state, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Products to Clients: Safely transport products to clients across the state, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Receive Payment for Goods Delivered: Collect payment from clients for goods delivered and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Sort and Load Merchandise: Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery and load it onto the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate Vehicle Safely: Adhere to all safety regulations and operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
  • Complete Required Paperwork: Complete all required paperwork, including the Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
  • Report to Work on Time: Report to work in adherence to company uniform standards and be punctual for all shifts.
Requirements
  • 1 Year of Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience as a commercial driver.
  • DOT Certification: Must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License: Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Additional Hours: Additional hours may be required during peak periods, including October, November, and December.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Must be capable of working flexible hours, including overnight, early morning, and/or late evening shifts.
