Bard College at Simon's Rock is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Admission Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a vital role in meeting enrollment goals for both Bard Academy and Bard College at Simon's Rock.
Responsibilities:- Conduct on-campus and online recruitment activities, including interviews, group information sessions, and question-and-answer sessions with prospective students and families.
- Read and evaluate admission applications, participating in the admissions committee discussion of applicants.
- Develop a strategy to determine travel locations and schedules that align with the goals of the admission office and meet institutional priorities.
- Leverage Slate CRM to develop email campaigns to communicate with prospective students and educators in an assigned territory.
- Visit middle and secondary schools, community-based organizations, and educational consultants to promote college access and recruit students.
- Manage programs and projects within the office as assigned, contributing to and shepherding various programs and projects.
- A bachelor's degree and driver's license are required.
- Admission experience in a liberal arts college or independent secondary school environment is preferred.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are essential.
