Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Department Lead to join our team at Sterling Engineering. The successful candidate will oversee the manufacturing department, manage the team, maintain production schedules, and ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate work assignments to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage and train a team of manufacturing personnel to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality and production issues.
  • Lead Cell meetings and coordinate improvement activities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor or equivalent.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, business).
  • Strong computer skills and ability to analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, team-building, and coaching abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
