Your expertise will ensure the safety and compliance of our clients' fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, including detection devices, control panels, and notification appliances.
- Conduct routine inspections and servicing of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet Local, State, and Federal Codes and Regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Create and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and service work performed.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices related to fire alarm systems.
- Maintain personal industry license(s)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in fire protection or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, codes, and regulations (e.g., NFPA standards).
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET certification) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
