About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $$120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. The role involves providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within the scope of practice as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). You will work collaboratively with a supervising physician and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care under the supervision of a physician or surgeon.
  • First Assist Duties: Ensure all needed equipment and supplies are present, perform first assist duties, and actively incorporate evidence-based hospital initiatives to improve patient care.
  • Quality/Research: Engage in daily continuous quality improvement by identifying and implementing processes for improvement, initiate and revise protocols or guidelines to reflect evidence-based changes in care management, and develop new clinical programs or services within the department/unit/clinic to improve patient care.
  • Leadership: Provide instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students, participate in community/network outreach programs, and demonstrate both an understanding of the contexts and system in which healthcare is provided and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve and optimize health care delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN) program.
  • Three years of experience as First Assist in Cardiac Surgery.
  • Prior experience with vein harvesting.
