Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating care with medical specialists outside of Campus Health to treat medical conditions. This includes scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorization when necessary, and ensuring patients are referred to in-network providers.

You will also be responsible for assisting students who need to withdraw from classes or apply for a medical underload. This involves collecting required paperwork, advising students on documentation requirements, and communicating with academic advisors regarding request status.

A high school diploma or equivalency is required, along with previous experience with referrals and prior authorizations. Comprehension of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT/ICD codes, and problem-solving abilities are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments with medical specialists
  • Obtain prior authorization when necessary
  • Ensure patients are referred to in-network providers
  • Assist students with withdrawals or medical underloads
  • Collect and review paperwork
  • Communicate with academic advisors
Requirements:
