Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Platform Engineer to join our team at Pondurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure using advanced HashiCorp tools like Terraform, Nomad, Consul, and Vault.

About the Role:

The Staff Platform Engineer will lead the development of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure management processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using HashiCorp tools and AWS services.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure management processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Datadog.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Evaluate existing processes and infrastructure for optimization and drive improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of total relevant experience, including 5+ years of experience with AWS infrastructure management and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with HashiCorp tools, particularly Terraform, Nomad, Consul, and Vault.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as Datadog.
  • Experience with Docker and container-based architectures.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, with expertise in Python and preferably Shell or similar languages.
