Mission Critical Role: EEG Tech
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Tech to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As an EEG Tech, you will be responsible for performing standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings, calibrating and adjusting EEG apparatus, and selecting predetermined electrode combinations.
**Responsibilities**
* Perform standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings, including applying electrodes, calibrating equipment, and selecting electrode combinations
* Recognize artifacts and take appropriate steps to eliminate them
* Describe normal and abnormal clinical manifestations observed during tests
* Use activating procedures such as hyperventilation, photic stimulation, and sleep
* Obtain patient cooperation for best performance of procedures
* Monitor other variables such as electromyogram, electrocardiograms, electro-oculograms, respiration, etc., when indicated
* Abstract relevant information from patient clinical record and additional information by questioning
* Perform difficult and/or unusual recording procedures
* Identify appropriate age-specific interventions and incorporate into daily practice
**Requirements**
* BLS through American Heart Association certification required upon hire
* Registered Electroencephalographic (EEG) Tech through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists
* Knowledgeable and skilled in all EEG and EMG diagnostic testing
* Continuous use of reading skills and verbal communication skills
* Frequent use of written communication skills
* Job requires delegations, conflict resolution, individual and group interactions, time management, critical thinking, and stress management
**What We Offer**
* Competitive pay rate of $28.35/hour
* $5,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates
* Full-time opportunity with day shifts, Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)
