Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Assembler to join our team at Polytek Development. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and packaging of our products, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the assembly and packaging of products, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Verify labels and packaging requirements, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Document actions by completing forms for supplies used, as instructed by supervisor.
  • Assist with labeling, packaging, and boxing goods, preparing them for shipping.
  • Understand hazards of products through company-provided training and reading Safety Data Sheets and labels.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves and safety glasses) and follow all provided safety rules.
  • Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or GED Equivalency.
  • 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Proficient with simple math and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to hear, speak, read, and write in English.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Requires the ability to repeatedly lift supplies, up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to ascend/descend short flights of stairs.
  • Frequently lift 1-gallon pails (8 lb.).
  • Bending, squatting, walking, and standing for full shift.
  • Talk, hear, and vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

This position is located in a manufacturing environment with a fast-paced and dynamic work atmosphere. The employee will be required to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
