As a senior member of the Business Development and Investor Relations (BDIR) team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing relationships with existing investors while spearheading new initiatives to achieve this objective. The selected candidate will be part of a compact team with diverse responsibilities, contributing significantly to the capital retention and expansion of the firm, its funds, and its team, while also gaining the chance to cultivate a wide range of skills across the BDIR function.

The position necessitates a commercial acumen to manage current limited partner relationships effectively. This encompasses regular update calls and meetings, addressing inquiries related to their accounts, developing ongoing due diligence materials for limited partners, and generating additional capital commitments from existing partners. Additionally, it involves the creation and upkeep of fund materials to bolster communication efforts.

This role is dynamic, requiring both internal and external engagement, and demands an individual who can collaborate effectively across the firm to gather information and communicate it commercially to investors, with support from other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with current limited partners
  • Provide performance and fund updates in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with various teams within the firm to prepare essential content and reports for current limited partners, including periodic investor communications
  • Develop and refresh materials for internal departments (e.g., finance, legal/compliance)
  • Partner with BDIR team members to devise new strategies to enhance limited partner engagement and secure re-investment capital

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 8 years of direct experience in investor relations with a focus on client engagement
  • Experience in private investments involving closed-end funds
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Professional demeanor with a strong client-service orientation
  • Proven track record in investment analysis and content creation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and take ownership in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Capability to lead calls and meetings independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring all requests are addressed
  • A team player with a proactive mindset to drive new initiatives for efficiency and growth
  • Potential to oversee other members of the investor relations team
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Educational Background:

  • Strong academic credentials with a bachelor's degree or higher
