We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court Reporter to join our team at Jamison Professional Services. As a Court Reporter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely transcription services for various legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide court reporting services for remote and in-person proceedings
- Transcribe recorded material using stenographic machines or computers
- Read portions of transcripts during investigations and hearings
- Ask speakers to clarify inaudible statements
- Be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, for each respective time zone in the Continental United States
- Continue with assignments that last more than one day or several days
- Travel outside your area, with all travel expenses related to the assignment being company-paid
- Arrive at designated locations at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of hearings or investigations
- Be a licensed Notary Public and competent to administer oaths and carry Notary Public Errors and Omissions Insurance
- Send recordings to the JPS secured VPN Portal immediately after the completion of individual assignments
- Be certified in accordance with state laws where the service is being performed
- A candidate level of background investigation and clearance may be required for this assignment
- A Tier One National Agency Check and Inquires (NACI) and a Special Agreement Check (SAC) may be required
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be able to successfully pass a Federal Government level background check
