Position Overview

The MRO Assembler in the Repair Cell Department plays a crucial role in the operational success of the company by executing assembly, painting, inspection, and testing of various designs and sizes of fractional horsepower fans, blowers, and modules. This includes performing wiring connections and assembling both electrical and mechanical subcomponents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble final products including fans, blowers, and modules from electrical and mechanical subcomponents, adhering to detailed drawings, work instructions, and in-process inspection standards.
  • Engage in a diverse range of assembly tasks, such as operating equipment for mechanical subcomponent assembly (e.g., balancing operations), magnetizing, soldering wires and components, circuit board assembly, box soldering, encapsulation, and conducting part inspections.
  • Interpret part drawings and collaborate with technical support teams (e.g., Process Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering) to discuss potential improvements.
  • Participate in team efforts to address and resolve departmental challenges.
  • Utilize basic measuring tools (e.g., ruler, calipers) to measure parts, applying basic math skills; algebra knowledge is beneficial for equipment setup and comprehension.
  • Maintain established standards for quality, productivity, and attendance.
  • Document work performed and any defects identified during the assembly process.
  • Conduct product and performance testing, ensuring accurate recording of results.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Contribute to both individual and team success, demonstrating a commitment to the overall objectives of the department.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as necessary and perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Manufacturing and soldering experience is advantageous.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalent experience through on-the-job training.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Capable of repetitive bending, squatting, and twisting movements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
