Company Description: Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. As one of the world's largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Introduce new kanbans and improve the kanban system for manufacturing.
- Assure manufacturing areas within the plant are properly utilizing the latest revision level of the kanban spreadsheet.
- Collaborate with other manufacturing groups as well as purchasing to improve material flow by optimizing inventory levels controlled through kanbans.
- Provide general lean manufacturing support as required to improve manufacturing and office processes as directed by the Plant PIC Leader.
- Conduct cycle count inventory process to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
- Monitor over-picks & mis-picks and looking for trends in this area.
- Schedule categories for cycle count inventory and maintain strict records.
- Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma along with three to five years experience of materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a lean manufacturing environment that utilizes pull systems and/or kanbans is desired.
- Proficiency in Excel, Baan, and Mapper are preferred.
- Must demonstrate good communication and organizational skills.
