Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Steubenville Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to animals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, including oral, topical, and injectable medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
- Support veterinary technicians in performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry practices, and basic veterinary procedures.
- Familiarity with medication administration techniques is highly desirable.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
