We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Energy Development Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy industry and a passion for renewable energy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of renewable energy development matters, including power purchase agreements, energy transactions, international trade restraints, and withheld restraint orders.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review various legal documents and contracts related to renewable energy development.
  • Work closely with the business development team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on various matters related to renewable energy development.
  • Manage external legal counsel as required.
  • Provide training to internal teams on relevant legal matters.
  • Participate in the structuring and execution of energy projects and transactions.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to renewable energy and advise the company accordingly.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in power purchase agreements, energy transactions, international trade restraints, and withheld restraint orders.
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
