We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Energy Development Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy industry and a passion for renewable energy development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of renewable energy development matters, including power purchase agreements, energy transactions, international trade restraints, and withheld restraint orders.
- Draft, negotiate, and review various legal documents and contracts related to renewable energy development.
- Work closely with the business development team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on various matters related to renewable energy development.
- Manage external legal counsel as required.
- Provide training to internal teams on relevant legal matters.
- Participate in the structuring and execution of energy projects and transactions.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to renewable energy and advise the company accordingly.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the energy industry.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in power purchase agreements, energy transactions, international trade restraints, and withheld restraint orders.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry and its regulatory environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to ethical practices and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
