Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer based in Clayton, NC. This role focuses on the design and development of electrical system wiring harnesses and cable assemblies tailored for compact construction machinery as part of the BCP Electrical Systems & Component team. Candidates should possess an accredited engineering degree along with a minimum of three years of pertinent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement electrical and electronic components and systems for mobile applications.
  • Provide engineering support to product teams for both current production and upcoming machine initiatives.
  • Assist manufacturing by offering design solutions to resolve issues.
  • Participate in all phases of the new product introduction process, including requirements gathering, specifications, FMEA, design, development, testing, validation, and certification.

Candidate Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Accredited engineering degree in electrical, electronic, computer, mechanical, agricultural, or automotive disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the design and development of electrical and electronic components for industries such as automotive, construction, or agriculture.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Creo Electrical Harness routing.
  • Experience with Teamcenter database management.
  • Ability to create Creo Electrical schematics.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Hands-on support for machine builds.

Desirable Technical Skills:

  • Requirements gathering and specifications development.
  • FMEA knowledge.
  • Experience in testing and validation processes.
  • Certification development as needed.
