Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Server to join our team at Marcus Samuelsson Restaurant Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, courteous, and prompt in responding to guest needs.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient ordering and serving of food and beverages.
  • Upsell and promote menu items, while maintaining a thorough knowledge of our offerings.
  • Develop strong relationships with guests by understanding their preferences and making recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless execution of orders and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Embody a positive and professional demeanor at all times, while promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain a high level of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, handling cash and credit transactions, and resolving service recovery issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tables and priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a love for the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds, with frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
