About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Registered Nurse to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, and maintaining medical records.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients with varied and complex needs
  • Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, and maintain medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Use leadership skills and clinical judgment to coordinate patient care and direct/delegate activities of the patient care clinical team

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • One year of nursing experience in a healthcare environment
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
