Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Greet and check in patients arriving at the clinic, preparing them to be seen by the provider.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by the provider.
  • Run P.O.C. tests as requested by the provider and collect and prepare lab specimens.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED and completion of a certified medical assistant program, Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data coding experience.
