Job Summary
The Environmental Service Technician at Facility Maine Medical Center plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
- Work closely with departmental leaders and teammates to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety are achieved.
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients, residents, and visitors.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals, including disinfectants and bleach, in a safe and effective manner.
- Wear uniform and/or protective equipment as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, communicate in English, and basic use of a computer.
- Flexibility in work assignments and requirement to work on weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions
This role may involve working in a variety of difficult and demanding settings, including precaution rooms for patients with highly communicable illnesses.
