Position Overview:

The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
  • Conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs and replacements of various automotive parts and accessories for cars and light trucks.
  • Executing fluid exchanges, general inspections, and maintenance tasks, including brake inspections, battery checks, and electronics servicing.
  • Carrying out additional tasks such as replacing wiper blades, bulbs, and conducting test drives.
  • Fostering strong customer relationships by understanding their current and future automotive needs.
  • Effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions to customers and supervisors.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be expected to:
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic procedures to identify the root causes of customer concerns and provide accurate repair recommendations.
  • Engage in all facets of automotive maintenance and repair, including computer diagnostics, engine repairs, cooling system maintenance, and emissions system work.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry best practices in automotive repair through ongoing education and training.
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to ensure quality service.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for customer records and internal use.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and equipment longevity.
  • Prepare estimates and advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous automotive repair experience in a professional setting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
