What will your responsibilities entail? You will collaborate with fellow Controllers to enhance our practice and maintain effective communication across all organizational levels. Typically, our Consulting Financial Managers engage with each client for 1-2 days weekly, often serving on the leadership teams of multiple clients simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with vcfo team members and partner with leadership teams at various companies.
  • Adapt to diverse client environments and industries while engaging with client teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Oversee the complete accounting cycle.
  • Provide strategic support for funding initiatives, including M&A support, due diligence, and financial evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain corporate financial forecasts.
  • Supervise accounting staff and foster teamwork.
  • Manage multiple client engagements with significant variety.
  • Assist in preparing financial materials for Board meetings.
  • Establish and refine financial policies and procedures.
  • Guide and lead the effective use of ERP systems and software selection to enhance financial operations.

Requirements – Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, with a preferred CPA designation.
  • Over 7 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage accounting teams effectively.
  • Experience in developing financial policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar mid-market solutions.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, utilizing training and coaching to expand business networks and generate new client opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for managing accounting teams in a collaborative environment.
