Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school district in Worcester, MA. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students referred for possible speech and language needs, determining eligibility for speech services, and providing individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Determine eligibility for speech services and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans or 504 plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload
  • Provide reports of children's progress to parents
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
  • Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Bilingual (ability to comprehend, speak, and evaluate ESL students) in one of the following languages: Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Twi
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to foster a collegial work environment and be a team player
  • Solid organization skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Massachusetts Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
