Room Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Room Attendant to join our team at Palihotel San Francisco. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine accommodations for our guests by cleaning, sanitizing, and tidying guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in guest rooms, common areas, and staff offices.
  • Swap out menus, postcards, and collateral in guest rooms.
  • Clean and sanitize furniture, fixtures, and flooring according to standard procedures.
  • Empty trash containers and perform other duties to maintain tidy guest rooms.
  • Replace used towels, soap, and other amenities.
  • Inspect and replace bathrobes, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities.
  • Remove dirty bed linens and make beds with clean linens.
  • Clean closets and door tracks, and remove dust and debris.
  • Ensure correct hanger placement and extra blanket/pillow availability.
  • Dust and polish furniture, and realign or adjust furniture as needed.
  • Check under beds, chairs, and sofas for debris and remove if present.
  • Inspect furniture for damage and report to supervisor.
  • Remove dust and debris from upholstered furniture.
  • Dust pictures, frames, and mirrors.
  • Remove dust and debris from televisions, clock radios, remote controls, and cable boxes.
  • Set correct time on clocks and correct TV channels.
  • Clean lamps and light switches, and test to ensure proper working order.
  • Remove dust, spots, grease, and smudges from windows, ledges, frames, and telephones.
  • Empty liquids from ice buckets and wipe surfaces dry.
  • Remove dust, smudges, and spills from mini bars.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and need periods.
  • Follow uniform guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality and guest service orientation.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a similar position.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work a variety of shifts.
