Position Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is looking for a caring and flexible Certified Nursing Assistant to fulfill the role of a Travel CNA. This position allows for local travel to various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius, offering competitive compensation, mileage reimbursement, and flexibility without a contract requirement. Responsibilities include assisting with essential health care needs and daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs, while also providing emotional support and personal care to residents.

The CNA will assist residents with mobility, using appropriate techniques and equipment for safe transfers and exercises. Responsibilities also include aiding in food preparation and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. The role involves documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in their condition to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum age of 16. Previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is advantageous. A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required, or the candidate must be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of starting the position.

Annual continuing education credits and competency testing are mandatory to maintain qualifications. Depending on the facility's requirements, this role may also necessitate a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
