Pioneer Physicians Network is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient referrals and interactions with our Diagnostic Imaging team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation to obtain hospitalization or pre-certification from various insurance carriers.
- Complete and submit referral forms to the respective insurance providers.
- Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure coverage is approved and patients are informed of any issues or concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing questions and concerns related to referrals, benefits, and medical conditions.
- Resolve patient issues related to benefit levels, coverage dates, and other concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as a resource for physicians, staff, and other stakeholders regarding referrals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Track and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver in-service education to physicians, staff, and other stakeholders on updates and changes in the referrals process.
- Perform other related duties as necessary to ensure efficient patient flow and high levels of patient satisfaction.
- 1 year of experience as a Referral Coordinator (preferred)
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
