About the Job

Colorado Christian University is seeking a highly qualified Affiliate Faculty member to join our team in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. As an Affiliate Faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, including core and elective courses.
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students through office hours, email, and online discussions.
  • Participate in faculty development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in a counseling-related field required.
  • 3-5 years of successful higher education teaching experience preferred.
  • Appropriate certification and/or licensure may be required to teach some courses.
  • Proficiency in technology and ability to use a learning management system (Brightspace).
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and effective teaching and learning in various formats.
  • Ability to integrate personal faith in Christ and related topics with classroom learning.
