Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and make recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Cash Handling
    • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
    • Count and balance cash register at the end of each shift, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms.
    • Restock shelves and merchandise as needed, and ensure that all products are properly displayed and priced.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
Experience
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
